Description
Solid waste management (SWM) is one of the important health and environmental issues the world is currently facing. The primary causes of waste production include an increasing population combined with an expanding rate of resource consumption. Society can opt to reduce the amount of waste taken either to landfill or for incineration by adopting a solid waste hierarchy, reduce, reuse, recycle/composting, and disposal, when none of the other options are feasible. Organic waste is material that is biodegradable from plant or an animal source. Organic waste is usually broken down over time by other organisms and is often referred to as wet waste.
Objective
To provide measures for the implementation of waste management best practice during the post-occupancy phase.
