Description
Environmental labels or eco-labeling has emerged as a useful tool for the society and offers a valuable contribution to the development and implementation of sustainable procurement practices. There are several objectives for pursuing eco-labeling including, protecting the environment, encouraging environmentally considered innovation and leadership, developing consumer awareness of environmental issue, and linking eco-labelled materials with life cycle environmental assessment and embodied energy.
